A Message From The President of AFTPA:
AFTPA has the privilege of representing 76 locals and more than 36,000 members across the state, including educators and school-related personnel, higher education faculty and staff, and state employees. As we head into another Harrisburg budget season and the midterm elections, we have the opportunity to come together to ensure that our public schools are fully funded, educators have the resources they need, our rights to bargain are protected, and our democracy is safeguarded for generations to come.
Looking toward the months ahead, our AFTPA staff and Executive Leadership are working hard to plan an AFTPA Advocacy Day at the Capitol in Harrisburg, endorse political candidates who align with our union's priorities, secure strong Collective Bargaining Agreements, plan events alongside our locals, and continue supporting the incredible work our members do each day. We have an exciting few months ahead, and I'm looking forward to building an even stronger union with you.
In solidarity,
Wendy G. Coleman
